Momiji
Momiji is a line of collectable dolls. maybe lacking personality but are meant to be very cute target audience are 'chicks' 18 - 30. theres specail place in the doll that you can place a 'secret in' and pass it on!
we are meant to think of an interesting way to make moving image to market the product.. advertise.. i was thinking of a specific story line.. the doll seems to be misplaced.. obscure. it needs a purpose a reason that someone will pick it up.. give it as a give or buy it for themselves. maybe a better storyline.. but definitely give the dolls more personality. maybe by giving a doll a more human like personality people will be able to relate to it.. if they see a momiji doll that reminds them of someone they love (someone who likes diamonds and discos) they will be tempted to pick it up and buy it.
Hedkandi
Maybe my favorite brief because of the possibility of being able to think about ways of packaging products.. as in the boxes.. i think i will eventually look into way of places objects in interesting boxes..and also new visual expression for the brand on the cover of the boxes. so far i love lipstick and roller skates.. maybe a repetative textile effect of patterns? well see where it takes us.

Further Developmental Research
After just completing one interview. Its becoming clear to me I need to find another angle to this project before it sinks and drowns. I continued my sketchbook work and like the idea of being able to flip the words around that both apply to either side of the media world, being someone might believe one true the other false. So who can we trust really??
Then I looked into moving image and typography to create impact with letter forms.. I experimented with flash to create basic links between the 2 major news channels FOX NEWS and ALJAZEERA that in my mind have complexity different news coverage and 'fan base'. Using the ALJAZEERA slogans to star off, they are very similar to FOX and the way it would want to present itself.
Part of me wants to do more interviews but I guess i will have to see how it goes as it doesn't seem to want to work out!

Issues
People seem afraid of me when they know I have political opinion. Why is it so taboo to talk about current events. I don't know. Maybe I come off as threatening.
Don't be scared I promise I won't bite.

Fox News
The more people watch fox news the less they seem to know about current events.
AlJazeera Interview with young girl after her family have been killed by the American soldiers
Not sure if this is entirely factual:

Fox News
someone made a video about fox news:
"Israel is able to stifle free speech, Control our Congress, and even Dictate our foreign policy."
-Paul Findley, US Congressman 22 years
"I've never seen a President, I don't care who he is,stand up to Israel.
If the American people understood what a Grip these people have got on our government, they would Rise up in arms."
-Admiral Thomas Moorer, Joint Chiefs of Staff.
"Israel controls the United States Senate.
-Senator William Fullbright

Quick Comparison
Documentary about how American companies are gaining profit from the war
BBC interview with John Bolton (US ambassador to the UN) video added April 27, 2008
American CNN covering the war in Iraq. (information is very vague) (graph used is very vague)

The Daily Show Clip
Clip from the daily show with Jon Stewart making fun of how the Bush administration makes errors and basically are a joke. Thought it was an interesting way to flip things around. (could do it with a loooooot of things published by the media)
Interesting Video found on youtube
Campaign video calling for real middle east peace talks now.
Avaaz.org (Avaaz means "voice" or "song" in Hindi, Urdu, Farsi, and other langauges) is a community of global citizens who take action on major issues around the world. We have members in every country on earth, and operate in twelve languages. Our aim is to ensure that the views and values of the world's people--and not just political elites and unaccountable corporations--shape global decisions.

FMP final major perspiration
My first plan was to create some sort of campaign on Environmentalism.. That somehow morphed into Middle Eastern Politics.
The second I mention the Middle East, and 'Politics' in one sentence I see peoples faces turn into all kind of strange shapes, I think I know why.
It's a heavy subject. Its touchy. Also, a lot of people (including myself) are very sensitive about it.. Maybe thats a good sign!
Maybe its about time I think about something substantial rather then visually appealing.
I started out looking at different News Channels on SKY. [ FOX NEWS (the worst!!!!!!!!) SKY NEWS (the most shallow) ALJAZEERA (the most popular and the most that i found interesting) CNN, BBC (of course)... and will soon try to find access to Israel news channels and the Arabic AlJazeera because I am told the news on it is a lot more thorough.
Also looked at websites and found startling differences in the way the news was laid out and presented. Reflecting the target audience I would presume.
This is Fox news the website... after searching for IRAQ (headlines didn't include ANYTHING about Mugabe)
CNN had a bit more information of international affairs
Also I must continue to look into History to better understand the subject. But i find myself reading a lot of clashing stories? Maybe I need to stick to one source and not keep switching.
I want to create a Documentary about the young Arab/Muslim students in London and how they feel/cope with the current events. Also I want to educate EVERYONE exactly WHY Muslims do what they do, because I have noticed a lot of misunderstanding and FALSE rumors going around about what makes a Muslim a Muslim. Especially on the subject of JIHAD. WHYY.. i think the question WHY is very important.
